The product range in the area of body equipment covers the complete scope of services for joining single panels and sub-assemblies up to the assembly of complete bodies and closures.
The material expertise extends from car body sheets, profiles, heat-proof and high-strength formed steels, IHF-formed tubes of sheet metal and steel materials as well as aluminium and composite materials.
In the area of joining technologies, ThyssenKrupp Drauz Nothelfer offers the complete range of thermic, mechanical and combined processes such as hemming, impulse self piercing riveting, gluing, MIG/MAG-welding, spot- or laser (remote) welding and laser brazing.
Whether individual body equipment for volume production or fully flexible, modular body equipment concepts for small or medium series production, ThyssenKrupp Drauz Nothelfer develops customised solutions according to the specific customer requirements.
The flexible body-framing solutions vary from the standard framing system and mega framing of up to eight different vehicle types up to robotic framing with maximum flexibility.
With the Best-Fit process, ThyssenKrupp Drauz Nothelfer has developed an assembly technology that enables optimum fitting accuracy with the aid of camera-controlled robots. Best-Fit is a flexible process which is also used for the assembly of closures for alternating vehicle types.
In combination with in-house tooling design and manufacture ThyssenKrupp Drauz Nothelfer is today developing system solutions for the fully flexible body equipment of the future.
